Go with the rally package well worth the money...
I also use the ram mount with the tough claw you can put the tough claw almost anywhere.
As far as other mounting options there are plenty of locations on the bike, personally I like footage from the front, on the handle bars, on the engine guard, saddle bag guards, then chop it up splice it together and you can have a great video...

I got the rally pack too. I'm not too impressed with the battery eliminator. It looks like it gets so hot, the camera case is discolored. On the front on the cam, right in front of the battery slot, there is dark brown discoloration that wasn't there until I started using it. I have sent an email to Switronix who makes it, and haven't heard anything back in almost a week. I'm going to plug it in at home and see how hot it actually gets.
