I am with the, do nothing different crowd, I am happy with the purchase of the bike I choose, and happy with all the mods I have done and will do in the future.
I would have chosen a different air cleaner so I could use the brand new lowers that I have collecting dust in a box! Also, I would choose a chopped tour pack over the detachable passenger back rest and stealth luggage rack that never gets used. Oh, and don't get me started on the bazillion dollars I have in seats and windshields

I learned over the years quite a few things that I'd do differently.
Opening up a one year old motor on my new bike to do cams and cubic inches to give me extra power that I could care less if I had or not.
True duals are just plain old nasty, far better with a "cat-intact" x-pipe, (ask me that when the summer comes if I still feel the same way lol). Never going bigger than 2" muffler cores either.
And the big learning curve over various mechanics, (found out who's good and who to avoid on my previous choices).
I should have never settled on Metrics even the Rune. Bought and keep even more HD's by building a bigger shop.
It is a world of fun riding those depreciating assets around. Wait! I have learned that if you keep them they don't depreciate. When my sons/St. Jude's get then they will not depreciate for them either as they get them at a zero base cost. They can only make profit.
