I can't help with the ACRs, even though I have them on my own bike. However 'slow' starting is a possible symptom of poor electrical contact on the starter circuit, so check the condition of your main power lead connections at both ends. You may have a dirty or loose terminal.
You can also bend down close to the motor and have someone else turn the key to START and you'll hear them "click" open. It's not real loud but they do "click".
u need a compression guage. take reading in each cylinder like a normal start. have plugs out u dont want it to start on one cylinder. then repeat the proceedure with i believe the fuel pump fuse pulled, this will not allow them to open, they are tied into pump circuit, or if u feel like pulling the tank off u can unplug them right at the harness.
not sure how true the next part is some people in here say to ground the plugs while in spark plug wires or coil damage will occur. I have never done this on anything ive worked on and have never had a problem, just repeating what ive seen in here. when ever Ive tested my acr i get about 20 -30 psi drop.
Id still check all battery connections and the main ground connection that is down behind the tranny on frame. had a dyno session one time had a lose battery connection, plus the idiot doing the dyno forgot to turn my acrs on. just loaded 3 diff maps in bike till he got a better result, not one number on timing , air flow charts or fuel charts changed from the newly loaded map. was a total waste of money .
