Got one of them Speedo/Tach's for xmas. Installed on my 09 Roadking, transferred the mileage went good.. real simple install. Went for a ride and all was good. But when I get back close to home I notice it has switched over to reading km's on the odometer.
I have tried just unhooking battery, and thought that may reset it...nope.
Any body have any ideas, to get it back to American.........??
No, it's a harley speedo, not digital..........
With tach & gear indicator........... Thanks for asking, still trying to figure out something......Love it, but don't want to read mileage in Kilometers.
There is a way, just wish I could remember... I had put one on my heritage and used to switch it to miles while in the states. Did it come with a instruction manual? I think you just have to hold in the button or something simple like that.
edit: if you can't find the manual, pm me, I might still have it around the house somewhere.
That's what i thought... Does it not work? If not, there's a chance that the button isn't sitting right from the install. Does the button work for resetting the trip?
WoW, I thought my post had died and haven't checked back till this morning.
YES, I'M STUPID. I had read the directions several times and did not see anything on switching mile to kilo.
HOWEVER after seeing the replies, I reread the directions............. And guess what. Page 4 just above the display modification section there it is.
"press and hold the trip reset switch to toggle between mile & kilo's
THANK YOU ALL THAT REPLIED, ALL IS GOOD NOW.......
Maybe one of these days I will put a thread on here about my cam swap debacle, Ran it a year 1 tooth off....... Sheesh, Live & Learn. Thank You !!
lol, glad to hear you got it figured out. I know no man likes reading instructions, but as long as you don't tell anyone you did it, they won't be able to judge you! haha.
