Schuberth Helmets
I wear both the Neotec and the C3Pro, kinda alternate between them based on conditions and which one I cleaned most recently.
I can't comment on any of the electronic or speaker type things mentioned so far but for me it all comes down to fit. The neotec fits my head just a little bit better than the C3P does... but I only really notice it after a long run, three to four hours plus with the helmet on.
On shorter runs they seem almost identical with the following notes:
1) as noted the chin fasteners are different. The D rings on the neotec don't bother me as much as switching between the two systems does... the ratchet on the C3P is probably easier overall
2) the slider for the internal sunshield is different enough to take me a second to remember which helmet I have on... I find the control on the neotec a little bit easier to use
3) the C3P has a slightly different front shape - it actually covers more of my throat area than the notes does. I noticed it in a cold weather ride when I forgot a neck comfy
4) the chin vents on both helmets were designed for sport bikes, not cruisers, and certainly not cruisers with windshields. Neither chin vent works really well with my Road King with windshield on but the neotecs vent is a little better
5) I'm not a huge fan of the pillock anti-fog layer on any helmet but the C3P has a little better "just barely" open position on the face shield that helps anti-fogging. The neotec has to be a little more open to prevent fogging.
If I could only keep one it'd probably be the C3P but the neotec is darned close

6 years ago I bought the Schuberth Jet J1 with the visor of the C3 to keep my nose in the wind.
My only complaint is the stiffness of the padding against my forehead. The foam was supposed to 'give-in' and never did. It seems the technology used to absorb an eventual impact is the same as for bicycle helmets, only the price differs

Thank you to all....for the thorough reviews, and for staying on point. MUCH APPRECIATED!
I have settled on one (and I was considering the Neotec against the C3 Pro), and it's going to be the C3 Pro. Unfortunately I live in a rural area, and to try one on I'd have to drive at least 30 minutes. I am going to order from Revzilla, and they're excellent customer service ensures me that if I'm not satisfied upon first blush, returning it will not be a problem. My head shape is pretty typical, so I'll be surprised if comfort is an issue. It may be after 4 hours wearing it, but no matter what helmet I buy, once it's worn for 4 hours of riding I'll pretty much own it.
Thanks again, Lady and gentlemen.

Probably not a bad idea, Mr. Brown.....
and as it turns out, I decided to go with the Neotec. Called Revzilla to discuss my head measurement, and because I fall right smack dab in between medium and large for a C3 Pro, and fall exactly into medium on the Neotec, the rep thought that I'd be happier with the fit of the later.
SO.....I'll have a review on the Neotec in about a week!
Again, thanks to all of you for your valuable input.

FWIW, I've used the Schuberth modulars for over a decade, first the C2 Concept and now the C3 Pro. My head shape is a long oval (Arai-shape) so the C2 medium fit me perfectly. When I ordered the C3 Pro I went up a size to large to compensate for the more neutral fit, and it fits great - no hot spots and not too loose. For any high priced helmet that can't be returned, I would definitely try it on first to make sure it fits. I went to a local BMW dealer that was selling the Schuberth's and got fitted. I put a J&M Elite headset in it so I could continue to use the CB on my Ultra; and am pleased with the audio quality from the headset. Even though I wear a half helmet a lot in the summer, I really like the C3 Pro.
I bought a leftover C3 last year so I haven't worn it a very long time but I'll add the following;
The quality of the helmet is very good, clarity of the faceshield, etc. It's quieter than any other helmet I have owned but I still wear earplugs. It does fit very close to your cheeks and forehead but I've become used to it and don't mind it. It's light and ventilation is very good.
The one complaint I have is with the faceshield. I like to keep it partially open to allow fresh air to blow in. When I am riding my one bike that has a minimal windshield, the wind vibrates the hell out of the faceshield such that I have to close it to not make myself sick from watching the shield vibrate. When I'm on the Electra Glide, this is not an issue. I don't understand it, the shield is not loose but out in the wind, it vibrates when partially open. FYI.

I rode for the first time today with my Noeotec and I must say it is a great helmet. The fit is perfect, no pinch or pressure points. The wind noise was minimal, but I tell you, the sound from the exhaust was amplified. I love the sound of my bike so not a real problem. With the half helmet I hear the engine. With the Neotec, I hear the exhaust.
I have a sena SMH 10 with speakers and could only have the volume up half way. Need it all the way up with the half helmet, speakers in a neck curtain. I was really worried about buffeting but there was none. My head never bobbled. My only real complain is the odor. It smells like the resin from the shell. I'm sure that will go away in awhile.
