Default 96 RK tripmeter button not working

Is the button that switches between odometer and tripmeter replaceable? I have to push mine numerous times to get it to switch over or reset the tripmeter. I took the console off and tried to see if I could clean it but it's the switch is enclosed in a little plastic box so I was unable to do anything to it? If it's replaceable does anyone have a part number or know if I can just pick one up at the dealer?

thanks!

There are 2 trip selections and the overall odometer. There is Trip A and Trip B. Are you sure you are not just switching between the 2? and to reset you push and hold it until it resets.

Well on my 96 I've only notice one tripmeter though I remember my 04 sporty having 2. When I mean I have to push it numberous times I'm talking like 20 plus to try and make a good connection so that it will go from odometer to tripmeter. I used to be able to get it to switch in 3 or 4 pushes but it is getting progressively worse.

thanks
