I had been toying with the idea of doing a 107" kit but that meant I needed to address my bottom end. I decided to look for a complete motor instead. Found on out of a 2015 with 10000 miles on it. It was a guy that works at a HD dealer, He took it out of his bike to put a 120R in it...This way I can keep some of the warranty as long as I get a HD dealer to re install it in mine.
Not sure how that works but he said the motor warranty was transferable...Comes with pipes A/C... Getting it picked up and shipped here. Now I am negotiating with 2 dealers to see what it's going to set me back to do the install.
I think I will be plenty satisfied with this set up. Next year I will throw a set of cams in there.

Did you check to make sure it will work in your 07?
I was told it would not work because of motor mounts.
since 103's were standard on 07 police bikes, the frame motor mounts will be no problem.
where the trouble might exist is mating the 07 transmission, with oil line routings to the 15 motor. but since you are negotiating with dealers already, i guess they figure things will line up between the transmission, oil routes, etc. it seems they should know.
The big problem I see is you have a 8K that you will be pouring 5-6K into and still only worth 8K. Good luck with the exhaust and the project.
No... After the swap I will have less than $2000 in it...Nothing wrong with the bike...just needs a new clutch maybe....I will have a bike that is still paid for and can go strong another 100000 miles.
Not sure what hat you pulled out that $5-$6k figure....Iv had the bike almost 10 years and wasn't ready to throw $20000.00 for a new to me bike with 10000k miles on it....
As already noted, the 96 and 103 bottom end both mate with the 6 speed (introduced in 07) without a problem.
If you really like your bike, putting a new engine in is a no brainier.
I mean lets be real. You sell your bike getting 50-60% of what you have into it and then get a new bike going another 50%+ in debt and then throw 4K more at it, "Making it mine".
That makes no sense if you like your bike and just need/want another engine...
