I have a 2012 FLHTK, TC103, stage II (SE255 cams, Jackpot 2/1/2 ceramic headpipe,SE A/C, SE Slip-on mufflers). I will eventually end up with a Fuelmoto 107 kit and level "B" heads..... Problem is, I won't be able to buy it all at once.... I'll be doing the work myself.
I plan on using the TW-555 cams.
I can afford one of the following at the same time:
Level "B" CNC heads
107 big bore kit
It would be easiest financially to do the heads/cams this year, and then next year do the big bore kit.... but I can pull it off either way...
My question... which combo will I feel the biggest change, when done together-- Cams & heads or Cams & 107 kit...???
I actually had a friend say that with my 103, cams & headwork, I may not want to go 107.... not sure I buy that..
Thanks in advance for your insight/experience...

I wouldn't go from 103 to 107 unless cylinders needed bored. If I was you I would do cams and heads and a tune, ride that for a while till you get bored with it and go 124, LOL. Cams and heads @ 103 will run better then cams and 107 without head work.
go with the heads and cams, look at the tw-777cams, if you go to fuelmoto website and click on speed shop, then on performance cams and scroll down the page you'll see a link to dyno charts, there you can compare 103/w cams and headwork to 107 w/o headwork. better yet call and ask Jamie.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I would do cams and 107kit. My thought is if I'm going to have head work done I want it done specifically for the 107 with 10.25 or 10.5 Pistons. Why have your heads worked for a stock 103 then turn around and install a 107 with higher compression Pistons? If the heads are milled to get your compression up for the 103 what happens when you put a good set of Pistons in it? I would sure think your ccp would end up higher than where you want it, unless the heads where not milled to begin with. I do agree though if I had to choose one or the other I would do heads. If I full intentions of doing both but one at a time I would tear it down and do the 107 then all I had to do later was throw the heads on.

If looking for large low-mid torque on a budget with that 103";
Our Stage I Torquemaster Series Heads
Cyclerama .575, or Wood 5-6 cams
Port intake manifold.
Scott
I also agree here. I did a 103" with great results but thats what I intended to do, had my heads set up for 10.6 comp. for a 103" with the stock pistons and the bike did well, see sig. But if you do the heads now I would leave them uncut and get a 30 thous head gasket and I'd really look at the TW777 cams as well.
If I where you I would explore ALL options, like the ones mentioned in this thread; there are MANY ways to get what you're looking for without going for the "me too" kit.
