Default Fact Checking the Dealer

Anyone have those run, brake lights that go on the back of the Saddlebags for the 14's and 15's? Mine come on with the ignition switch in ACC, and no other lights are on.

None of the other Moco lighting on the bike does that. I also have the new LED Run/Stop/Halo ring lights that go between the fender and saddle bags and they don't come on in ACC. Only those lights on the Saddlebags. Dealer says it's correct.

Hard for me to believe that.

If they work correctly when in the run position, why does it matter? If they were plugged into the ACC wiring plug, then that could account for it. The little Harley emblem in my Daymakers come on with the switch in ACC position, but they were designed to do it.

EDIT: I looked up the instructions. There's really no way to wire it up wrong. There's a module, with keyed plugs (left and right, in and out) Unless they cut the plugs off, and spliced it into your wiring, they couldn't mess it up. http://www.harley-davidson.com/app-c...ts/-J05841.PDF

if wired into the P&A circuit on the acc plug, that circuit is hot in the ACC position ( orange/red stripe)

on my 09 the electraglo saddlebag latches are on that circuit and on in the ACC position.
brake light will work as well if you hit the pedal.

you could rewire to the run light circuit- which is usually a blue wire if you can easily access that circuit- that would stay off in ACC position

My tour pack lights are off when on ACC. The only lights are the radio/stereo.

The Harley light packages are almost always plug and play with the appropriate harness for the kit. It would be very unusual for the dealer to do something different.

Yours are wired correctly based on your description of how they are functioning. Your Dealer is correct.
