Joe: Look at Uncle Larry's post count. He's averaging 2,360 posts per month since joining the forum. That can be broken down to an average of 211 posts per week, which can then be broken down to an average of 30 posts per day...approximately. That is slightly higher than 1 post per hour as an average. And you think that with that forum diligence Uncle Larry has time to amass tools that the poor OP can borrow for his first time run at a cam change? Yea right! Bwaaa ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
Sorry, Uncle Larry, couldn't resist. It's my jealousy of your retirement rearing its ugly head again! Your input is always on the positive side, to be sure.
That is precisely what I was thinking too. If you are going to do it, I would recommend doing it all. Although, to be honest, from the looks of the bike, it kind of looks like it might have been a garage queen, with low mileage.
im only 26 so i plan on having fun with the bike and making some power eventually as my buddy just put a 120r in his 15 road glide so the 107 kit is definitely happening over the winter. I bought the bike off a 65 year old guy who barely rode it and like you said it was a garage queen lol. also just picked up a heavy duty clutch spring today at the dealership as well as the gaskets for the primary and all the o-rings for the oil pump.

Your gonna hate the heavy clutch spring. It'll be ok to begin with but that hard pull is gonna get old real quick.
what is the LMR-2 spring and what does it do? sorry still kinda new to harley performance stuff, always had crotch rocketsand a car guy
Stiffer spring so it's harder to get the poppet off its seat. Gives you higher oil pressure because of the restriction. Pressure is resistance to flow.

That heavy duty clutch spring is going to cause excessive wear on other parts....parts that otherwise shouldn't need to be replaced for a long long time to come also. A word to the wise....if 26 years of age CAN be wise (I damn sure wasn't at that age!), consider an AIM VPC over the heavy duty spring. They're hard on clutch cables, clutch lever housing, and the parts in the housing.

All 100% truth. The heavy duty spring will cost you more than it's worth in the long run.
