Default 2013 Road Glide

I need a comfortable one up seat for my road glide. It's been lowered and am currently running a Danny Grey and the seat looks sweet and for short runs, it's great, however, am looking for something for longer runs.

I would look for a used street glide seat from eBay or Craigslist, then send it to Mean City Cycles, or you may have a local seat modder that can add some foam.

A friend has a Road Glide with a Corbin Solo Tour Saddle and loves it. I sat on it and like it too. Seems a little hard at first but at least it holds you up all day. A little spendy though. A little over $600, plus a backrest if you want one, but that's what I'm going with for my RK.

cop seat for all day comfort:

comfort and sleek kinda don;t go together.

i had a HD Brawler solo which was good for intown

the SG seat was good for 4 to 6 hours, then painful- I liked the *** bumper for control.

an ultra seat is what I used for touring..8 ~10 hour days, day after day.

The cop seat i am using now-= I'm tall so can hot the ground at a stop- sure is comfy.

Corbin: I bought a premium Corbin seat- it was hard as hell.
I called and they said give it a few months to break in, so I did.
No better, numbass after 45 minutes.
So I called back- they said "too late".
at about 14 months the covering started to crack, they said "too bad, sun exposure"...I said the only time it's outside it shaded by my body.
They offered nothing.
I'll never buy anything from Corbin, and as I promised, i will share my story whenever I can.

Mike

OEM HD will be the best seat for comfort on a touring bike. I find to be true and have been told that by a custom upholstery guy Ive known for 30 years.
Theres a lot of money to be made selling the "best" seat out there, but it will come full circle back to OEM. I ride interstate 300-400+ a day for 10 hours a day, works for me.
FYI to the guy who said the Corbin seat was hard as hell, well they all are. I asked my guy why theyre so hard and he said they glue a cover over the foam and that's what makes it hard, theres no give in it. Every Corbin I ever sat on was hard as a rock.

I seriously have a Corbin butt. Terrible customer service but I can't find a better seat for my butt...

Try the road Zeppelin air pad or an air hawk. Very similar in design. I have the HD version (Zeppelin) and I haven't found a seat it won't make comfortable.

I have to disagree on several accounts. The statement "HD will be the best seat for comfort on a touring bike" I had to laugh. I know we all have a different idea of comfort but I found the HD seat the worst for touring, it simply sucks in my opinion. Also, Corbin does NOT glue the cover over the foam...a slightly firmer seat, like a Corbin, will be the most comfortable on long touring days. My 2013 Road Glide has 55K so I've done a lot of long days and I wouldn't trade my Corbin for anything. Good luck.
