Heres one i dont think anyone has heard of.
Recently I put a Drag Specialties speedo/tach on my 2003 Road King Classic. Was easy and basically plug and play with the exception of running a jumper wire from the harness plug to the pink tach wire inside the nacelle. Easy and works like a charm. Today got out and went for a nice ride and I put the bike on cruise control. The bike would lurch go to speed then fall off then back up to speed and fall off as if the cruise was being turned of. The bike would lurch when this happened. if I pull back the set button on the cruise it will engage but do this lurching. If I pull it back a second time right after the first, it doesn t do it. Does the cruise take its signal from the speedo or the ECM? It didn't do it when the stock speedo on it. This speedo/tach was not cheap. $400.00 and is really accurate. I had the opportunity to come up on one of those road side digital signs that display your speed as you approach it and its dead on. The needles on the dial do not jump around either. What do you think? I called Drag Specialties and they said they will warranty it but have never see anything like that.
