I purchased the new style HD wheels for my 09 SG. Front went on fine.
I having trouble with the rear wheel.
Starting on the left side: I slide the axle in the swingarm, place the spacer in next to the pulley, continue sliding the axle through, put the abs pickup in, then the caliper bracket, and continue pushing the axle completely through. Then I put on the right side adjuster and cone nut. Torque to 20 ft. lbs. and adjust belt tension. Then torque to 90-100ft. lbs. What am I doing wrong?
Should there be a spacer on the right side? I'm having difficulty lining up the adjusters the same on both sides which doesnt seem right... The right side adjuster seems like its too far in when torqued.
Do the new style wheels require a different size spacer than the 09 wheels?
If youre talking about Enforcers, they should bolt right on as they did on my 11 RK. Probably a little late now, but I marked both adjusters for reference before taking it apart. The right adjuster was a pita for me, it would move when tightened. Be sure your wheels have abs bearings.
Yes, I'm referring to the Enforcer wheel. I thought it was a direct bolt on. Yes, the right adjuster is PIA! Mine seems like its going too far in when tightened?
The wheel has the abs bearing. My adjusters are marked.
