check engine light
Check engine light has been coming on very sporadiclly. I noticed it come on when really accelerating fast until i let the throttle go. Also when accelerating slowly untill i give it more throttle. only does it once in awhile. No stored codes. it just had the twenty thousand mile service and a new hd battery. Any ideas?

this is purely anecdotal .........
one of my wise *** friends pulled my spark plug wire at the spark plug but left it lose and sort of connected.
till i discovered it, it would throw the check engine light under hard acceleration intermittently, very frustrating. BUT it did leave a code. "accelerometer error" it told me
after reconnecting the plug wire firmly, it never showed its ugly head again

This could be a number of things but it sounds like the TPS sensor on the throttle body. Pull it apart and clean everything up. Then put dielectric grease on it before reassembly. You may also want to check your plugs. You said you already went over the wires.

Yeah I checked it all over. I'll try the tps. It just had its 20k service and road flawlessly in Daytona. This is a new problem.

Had similar problem with my 03 Road King, and it turned out to be loose spark plug wires.

That to me sounds like you still might have a History Code stuck in there. My 07 used to do that to me. The code will have a H attached to it.
