For those of you that are on the fence about weather or not to install a SE clutch spring on your bike that may be having trouble with the clutch slipping still after adjusting, i say DO IT its easy to install and a BIG improvement over the stock spring, no more slipping!! Hope this helps someone else!!!
I agree, upgrading to a stronger clutch spring is worthwhile.
I went one step further and upgraded the clutch as well. Went with the Energy One +1 kevlar clutch with the heave duty spring. What an amazing difference over stock! 11% more clutch surface and 10% stronger spring. The wife and I are not small people and I get zero slip unless I intend for it to.
I was concerned that the clutch pull with the stronger spring would be uncomfortable, as I have a cable, not hydraulic, but it is not.

Wait about 2 months and you'll have a Popeye left forearm. Not to mention the damage that SE spring will cause to your clutch cable and other moving parts of the cable assembly (inside the perch). Been there and done that. Smartened up and installed the AIM VP95LT. No more slip and no more hard clutch pull.
I've had the HD SE spring for about a year and a half now. It did feel like a hard pull at first but after the first couple months it seemed to, Break in so to speak. Feels natural/normal to me now.(No Popeye forearm yet) It does hook up really good and no more slipping rolling on th throttle to pass (fully loaded with wife and tourpak)in 5th or 6th. I have to say I did install a new Diamondback cable with it just to be safe. Maybe someday I'll upgrade to a VPC but for now I'm good. Just inspected primary and all is well.
I put the SE spring in 3 years ago, didn't have clutch slip problems, just didn't like the squishy feel of the stock spring. Feels better, no cable problems or broken levers, no popeye arms.
If you don't like it take it out and throw it on ebay for a few dollar loss, lesson learned.
