RE: What do I need to install my own gear drive cams
Just did mine last week. Put in the Andrews 26g cams with the S&S gear set. Only specialty tool I bought and needed was the inner cam bearing removal tool. Cams were around $545 with the gear set and install kit. I bought this one tool as you don't want the old bearing to break apart upon removal and fall into the motor. This one tool made the removal extremely easy and safe. I used it once and will be putting it up for sale this week if you're interested. I used the freezer method for the outer bearing install on the cams and used the old cams to install the new inner bearing.
