I recently bought a 2014 SGS with 3100 miles. I rode it home and the motorcycle and boost audio system were working great. When I got home it took me a week to figure out how to do a map restore as this owner was in the Army and in Germany so he uploaded the German map and couldnt switch it back.
Fast Forward 2 weeks and all i have done to the bike was plug flash drives in the USB Port and look over every option in the Infotainment Screen.
Whats happening is when Im breaking or slowing down using the clutch etc the music shuts off and a few seconds later it comes back on. I do notice im on the normal music screen that just shows the artist name and rewind or FF etc but when the music cuts out it shows me the album cover and this music is coming right off ITUNES and I tried 3 different usb cords.
Its pissing me off its even happened on the highway. Im wondering if anyone has had this issue before or if maybe I hit a button thats causes this to happen when I was going through the infotainment screen.
Are you sure it's only happening when braking or slowing down? If you have a destination set in your NAV system, every time it gives you a turning announcement (prompt), it will cut the music audio down during that prompt. I've read that some riders don't even know that they have a destination set in their NAV and if there is, you need to stop the guidance.
Then a 3rd sort of square box with lines in it. Move the highlight to this box, press the right hand function switch, first option should be to "Stop" navigation.
