Default Rear Shocks

I have an 09 Ultra Classic (newly acquired) therefore it has the rear air shocks. So far, not a fan.
Been working on several things to make it my own. floor boards, Linkage, shfter, pegs, 19" wheels, rotors, lighting. Oh! did I mention the 110 Tire Shredder? Just got it so I'm just breaking it in so not true results to report other than a marked improvement in the giddee Up.
I would love to hear from yal about the rear shocks and if you changed them out. What did you go to instead and why.
Was recently at Laughlin and had 3 different types and or brands. Did not buy cuz I wanna hear from you guys first.

I changed to pro actions and have ohlins in the past. The tech that did my cam install was very impressed with them i would get something you can change the damping settings on and was going to reccomend them to few people that had asked him about a shock change. Ohlins is a known perforrmer

Spent some time tuning the stock shocks with different oil viscosities and quantities. Got the ride quality substantially improved over stock.

Went back and forth on length, enjoying the better footing with 12" shocks, enjoying the better ride and ground clearance of 13" shocks. Finally installed a reverse and stick with the 13" shocks.

Changing gears a little here: About what did it cost you to do the 110 Tire Shredder. The HD website says its only for '14 and later models. Did they have to do some other modifications to your bike to make it work?

I'm not the mechanic but did arrange to have it put together by an expert. We did change the air cleaner of course. We live in California so I ordered my parts out of Surdyke. 2800 and fifty bucks. For the 110 Shredder. Definitely do the Super Tuner not available in California. But I got it. How about $3,200 out the door. Then I put on a set of Vance & Hines true duals full flow. You gotta do the exhaust to give the 110 the opportunity to breathe and Flow appropriately to max out your intention. Surdyke was the dealer I went through however you might want to check the Harley Davidson dealer in New Hampshire. I'm driving presently in can't refer to it. Definitely shop around I got my Enforcer wheels for $519 each and saved $100 per wheel from my dealer in California.. I asked him to match it and they did. I'm still breaking in my Shredder kit that you really need to follow in order to get the optimum result. I have close to 800 miles on it so far. Ill-advised to go over 4000 RPM. You know you will but keep it at a real minimum. Three or four times only. Truly allowed to break in. You'll be happy you did. The power is significant over the stock 1584 CC

I have the Progressive 944s and I'm very happy with them. It's a lot comfier ride on the rough roads and behaves real well at the fast turns plus there's no messing with set ups.
