It doesn't appear that there is one definitive thing it could be or part to replace so you're going to have to do some troubleshooting.
If you don't have the tools, experence or confidence then an indy or a HD dealer are your choices.
Personally, I think its a great thing to be able to work on our bikes ourselves for a number of reasons. I would suggest you try what's in that thread, maybe do some more research and if you hit a wall, then take it in.
