Thanks. Is there an easy fix or do I need to get it repaired?

 

Hard telling not knowing much. I would start by hooking the computer to it and looking at the system data to see if anything looks odd especially in that circuit. Look at throttle position, idle air valve, really anything idle or throttle related.

Also google searching "Harley P0505" will bring up some help

 

The referenced thread gives several quick and easy things to try.
It doesn't appear that there is one definitive thing it could be or part to replace so you're going to have to do some troubleshooting.
If you don't have the tools, experence or confidence then an indy or a HD dealer are your choices.
Personally, I think its a great thing to be able to work on our bikes ourselves for a number of reasons. I would suggest you try what's in that thread, maybe do some more research and if you hit a wall, then take it in.
