If your bike has FI, then don't mess with it or the computer will just return it to where it was. A digital tech at the dealer is needed to adjust the idle electronically.

Default Idle slowing increasing

My Idle is not what it use to be! From what I gather can you adjust your idle up at the throttle (adjusting on eof the throttle wire screws)....Any DYI help?

If your bike is idling low check your IAC on the throttle body. Try cleaning it.

mkguitar posted a few weeks ago a synopsis that pertains to folks killing their bikes while their right hand is still on the throttle. This sometimes leads to the TPS (throttle position sensor) not being in the "zero" position when the bike is killed and the ECM will remember that thinking this new position is now the zero position.

To reset it.

keep your hand off the throttle
turn the bike to ignition but do not start
let fuel pump prime up and stop
wait about 5 secs and turn it off
wait at least 10 seconds then repeat procedure 4 times
this resets the tps and the information sent to the ECM

Idle should be around 950 rpm.
