You haven't stated what clutch pack you are running? Material? Extra plate?
That's a good question. I don't actually know... I assume whatever came with the kit? I didn't even think of that.. Does my clutch have options for those? I just bought the Low profile Lock out for big twins... They installed it.. That was it. Had problems, they decided it had been installed incorrectly and changed the springs.. Was okay for a bit but inconsistent, it would constantly surprise me taking off, and jump.. So here I am..
Also, after last nights flush, I took it out for a bit of slow speed and it is MUCH better. I didn't jump off on me at all. The clutch play is still way out there but I'm thinking some RSD adjustable levers will help that.

Sounds like the fluid change has helped a bunch. Good news.
Just talked to Barnett, he said the Formula + in the primary is the cause of all my problems, IT SAYS RIGHT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TO NOT USE THAT FLUID.. he sounds pissed at the dealer. Thats what I said, it says it RIGHT there in the install instructions! The Formula + makes the clutch plates bind and stick together.
Also if anyone is wondering, Barnetts all need ATF, and I found out the type, mineral-based or synthetic, does not matter, ( the guy on the phone prefered Dex/Merc ), just FYI
anyhow, Barnett is sending me a new clutch pack, the Formula + needs to be gotten OUT of there so he said I had the right idea to ride it a little and drain it again. Good to know!
now that i have the right fluid in it, he suggested taking out the heavy springs and throw in some medium one and fine tune it again, should be a whole different experience.
