Still sounds fuel starved to me but from a distance it is difficult.
Your bike is M & M fuel injected i believe so it has a different version of the iac than delphi.
The holes you describe sound like the air bleeds on the throttle plates and they do get dirty some times.
I think you have a piece of liner that is blocking the fuel sock/inlet.
The piece floats when you have a full tank and as fuel level gets lower it gets pulled closer to inlet.
Basically the suction makes it move closer to inlet and blocks fuel.
The screws for the plate are part # 1311 at about $1.50 each if you need them (10).
That is the reason the problem is sporadic.
Maybe you or a mechanic can remove the one nut and the one screw to take off the instrument cluster.
Then remove the 10 screws on the top plate to confirm the loss of liner.
I was having issues similar to OP this past week or two, replaced Engine Temperature Sensor and have not had any issues since, I think that part was like $38 so if anything it's a good place to start!

I will pull the center section and see, it was cream lined 4 years ago, with new fuel pump and float set up, I would like to inspect filter and lines any ways, it got a new fuel line 3 years ago due to the outer connection leaking.I also want to remove intercom and replace with something shiny
emits(rear cal cutoff) came in 07 as an optional download.mid year 08 it was standard. u have m&m injection 01 was the last year for that. when people have problems with the m&m it'd usually idol it can be tough. i would start by reading up on m&m.

thanks I keep going back to electrical. it doesn't seem to bee an issue when I ride right off the battery tender. If it sits a day or 2 I seem to have the problem reoccur
You tested the charging system ac volts but the battery testing does not appear to be documented.
I do not see if the (4) four ends of the battery cables were reviewed.
A loose battery cable could cause a problem over a bump.
Cables should be secure at all four ends.
There does not appear to be a review of the hot/cold idle.
The exterior fuel lines...no mention of the exterior fuel lines being addressed. Fuel lines can decompose from the inside causing fuel blockage.
There is no mention of aftermarket electrical items that might have been added some load to system or cause some kind of short.
OK, so I replaced the engine temp sensor two weeks ago and all seems good now. I did end up buying a few more parts to change, including the fuel filter and all internal tank hoses.
I have tank apart now and am looking to replace fuel filter, all hoses look fine when I pulled the clamp on the pump to outlet they still had preasure so no holes in line. I am going to drain tank tomorrow pull filter and check all the connections. Last ride it acted up after about 10 miles I stopped and put 2 gallons high test in it, she ran great for 2-3 miles and started acting up again led me back to fuel I even tried riding with the fuel cap loose to see if I was getting a vacuum. I will let all know if I ever get it right. Thanks again for all suggestions.
