So pretty sure it's a ground issue, but installed Kenwood deck, aswc-1 Metra kit with a 99-9600 install kit, everything works great except the volume button. It will work most the time but there is some times that it won't turn down via hand controls. Plus if I press the volume button it will change the radio station. ..pretty sure it's not suppose to do that, anyone also think it's a ground? I replaced the ground to the triple clamp just fyi
I had the same kit and it was all wired correctly. Could not get it to recognize my head unit. Called them and tried everything before I gave up. The Hawg Wired is truly plug and play and really works! Very well made.
So...hooked it up to my amp last night...now the volume goes up automatically...which is why I switched this HU from the stock one in the first place. Now I'm thinking I should take that pink/white wire off the amp ground now...it worked fine before but was just acting up, before It would just go up when I was on the throttle, but not at a stop light, tested it today, even at a stoplight it raises the volume...is it still a ground or do I have another issue going on from the stock HU?
