Default 98 seat question.....

Can't find if this has been asked before, but...
Can I fit an 08 and newer seat on my 98?? Not many options for my year, and really like some of the aftermarket solos I've seen for the newer year bikes..
Just wondering if anyone has done this??

Thanks

'97-'07 seats will fit your bike. Frames are different on '08 up. So the '08 seats don't fit. You can also use Electra Glide/ Road Glide/ Street Glide seats on a Road King. They just come past the bottom of the tank some.

The '08s are the first bikes with the later 6 gallon tank, which is a different shape to your earlier 5 gallon tank, and why it won't bolt on.

Well, the new frames were 09, not 08, but the 08 has a 6 gallon tank, which may cause fitment problems.

'07 and '08 frames are different though. '08 and '09 take the same seats.
