I put lower fairings on the 2015 SGS a while back. When riding the other day, I noticed that one of the doors looked loose. When I stopped to check it out, it looks like one of the door hinges was gone.
I've searched, but have not found any information about this.
Is this a common thing? Is there a repair kit available for these doors? I did not see anything on the Harley web site and have not had a chance to get to the dealership yet.
what exactly are you missing? in stock form, the doors on the lowers are a snap fit. they do sell a magnetized door flap that has a lower hinge and two magnets at the top to hold it shut. but those doors don't have replaceable hinges, they are a creased fold.
They have a hard door that is held closed with a push latch. They have hinges at the bottom of the door. If I remember correctly, they were just some plastic pins that acted as hinges when I put them together and installed them.
They are not the type with the fabric door on them.
to be fair, I also misread your op, I thought it said 2013, not 2015. the 2015 lowers are made different than the earlier ones. but you said they were aftermarket. how close to original are they? if they are close to hd, then this might work for you: http://www.stcharlesharleydavidson.c...IRCOOLED%5cFCM
