Before you take the leap to an HD bar, I would price the Wild1's equivalent in black, I betcha they are the same bar at a significantly reduced price. Then you could call the guys at Wild1's and they could tell you the skinny on the fit.
Check Amazon for best pricing on Wild 1 apes, Couple different cycle parts warehouses sell them on Amazon. I think I paid $180.00 for my Wild 1 18 apes.

Not sure what diameter bars come stock on a road king police. The bars you are looking at are 1 1/4" bars, my guess is the socks bars on your king are 1". If that is the case, you will need the risers to accommodate the fatter bars.

Most 1 1/4" bars have stepped down centre sections and grip areas.
