I coil mine up under the tour pak when not in use, securing it with a coupla short pieces of velcro. When I wanna pull the trailer, ah pull it down along the bag guards, an' use the same velcro pieces ta hold the harness in place...

I ran mine along the left side between the saddle bag and fender. When not towing secure it to the hitch wil small bungee cord. That is the way Bushtec instructions recomemded to run it. Check their web site maybe there is something there www.bushtec.com

Great, thanks guys. i thought i was going to have to run it under the fender or side supports to hide it all. i was going to make it to complicated i guess.

I'm going to be wiring my 06 Road Glide for a trailer soon. I have the Hoppy isolator ($36 from Amazon.com) on the way. I looked at the little "adapter" that has pigtails you can splice into, but I can't bring myself to pay $40 for a couple of plugs and some wire. I have brake light/turn signal conversion and I'm just going to splice the Hoppy into the harness before the conversion module.

I ran mine on my Ultra similar to the others on here but for stowing it, I took a different approach. Rather than having the wireing there all the time, I put a plug under the seat so that I can remove the wireing when I'm not using the trailer. I use cable ties to hold it in place when in use and then just snip them, unplug the wireing, and it's nothing to worry about until the next time I use the trailer. Takes no time at all to route the wireing when I'm ready to use it again. I also STRONGLY sugges using an isolator, especially if you have a newer bike with FI and lots of electronics.

Good point. There's no real reason to have the wires on the bike when you're not pulling. I like that!

Most of the trailer you buy for towing being a motorcycle require 5 wires.(stop, left, right, running, and ground. If you have a trailer with separate directional lights, a flat four plug will need a separate ground. I used a 3X2 rectangular plug. Works great. Just though you might want to know your options.
