SE Compensator Problems
My comp was rattling shortly after I bought it. Took it to my dealership, they said all they did was re-torque it, and that was 16,000 miles ago. Absolutely no issues since then.
I Just finished mine today. Need a jack and a friend at times but completely doable with all the right tools and take your time. Have a manual and the directions on hand. Hardest part was probably getting the starter bolts without removing the oil tank. You'll need plenty of extensions and swivel knuckles for them
im on my second comp. se now baker.
one thing that may help is to change the primary chain? I figure with all this comp stuff going on,its got to be tough on the chain?
60k+ miles on bike. When I(me) did the work this last time I replaced chain, hub bearing. baker makes a JUST noticeable chatter, lowers and fairing amplify it a bit im shure.but all in all with 5k on the baker its par for the cource, se wasnt with out sound either but got worse...

The baker is still holding up pretty good. se was just getting a little louder and felt like changing it, either one are probably good enough. wish they had that new re-build-able one back then, that looks nice.
