I'm wanting to change where my amp gets its turn on power from. Currently I'm using the White/Orange wire in the headlight wiring harness. I don't like the feed back I get from the headlight in the radio. I'm thinking if I change its location I can get rid of the feed back.
Any ideas where to get an ignition power from besides the White/Orange wire?
Under your seat is a plug that provides power when the ignition switch is on as well as power through the accessory switch on the faring panel. There's also a B+ lead in the same area that comes directly from the main fuse.
I never even though about that. I don't use the cigarette lighter for anything other than powering my Sirius/XM radio.
Do you know what color is the hot at the cigarette lighter?
Red is hot, black is ground. Your interference problem is probably a ground issue, not the turn on power. Is your amp grounded at the battery? If not, it should be.

Didn't realize the cigarette lighter was that obvious with its power wires.
My amp is grounded at the battery. It gets its power and ground from there.

JW Speaker Evo 2. I had LED bulbs prior to the JW light and it was worse, even with RF filters installed. It got better when I changed to the JW headlight and removed the RF filters, but not completely gone. I don't get near the reception that I got with the standard bulb.

Pretty common problem with LED headlight. Also certain amps kill fm reception. That's why I asked which amp.
