Which seat is more comfortable for a 2014 Road King, a Tall Boy seat or the Badlander seat by harley reason I asking On a budget so can you guys give me some info.
I would say the tallboy due to the amount of foam it has compared to the badlander. There are lots of threads regarding this very issue. I try to pay attention to all of them because I will be in the market for a seat soon.
The dealership has a seat loaner program. Ask for a loaner at the parts counter, try it out, then ask for the other seat and try it out. Then you'll know which is better for you.
Most seats from the factory suck. It's the first thing I change when I buy a new bike. I can appreciate being on a budget but the seat makes the biggest impact on your comfort. Wait a little longer and save a little more to get a quality seat like a Mustang or a Corbin to a name a couple of many options. If you ride year round, save an additional extra and get one with heat. Another option that will save a little money is C&C. They can reshape and install a better quality foam in your current seat and make it much more comfortable.
Both above suggestions are worth following. Try the loaners to see if one of them is comfortable, but also look at others, if possible. Just because you're on a budget doesn't mean you should make do with second best, so if say the Hammock is way better, then go away and return when you can afford it! Or look for a secondhand one.
