Just installed the NIM and new ZUMO 590(not road tech). Everything works fine on the AUX input but the voice prompts don't come through on other inputs(AM/FM/CD). Do the voice prompts only work with road tech version of Zumo GPS?
Correct, the voice prompts only work with the Road Tech Zumo.....
Well, for a couple years or so....
My Road Tech Zumo stopped working through my OEM radio at about 2 years. I've yet to take of the fairing to check out the NIM/connections. Really not that big an issue with me.
If I need the verbal direction prompts I turn up the volume on the GPS and will hear it except at highway speeds. If I don't need verbal prompts I turn down the volume on the GPS and don't get all the constant interruptions to my music...!
