I know it's early, but a trip like that takes time and planning. I'm looking into shipping back the bikes to Ontario Ca. (Starting point) Anybody else shipping their bikes back? I'm thinking we could get the cost down by pooling together and hiring a transport company independently. Any advise for shipping or other issues would be welcome.
No, but I've known about it for a couple of years now, and could never get the time off. Me and my buddy have the time off now, so we're going to Run For The Wall. The biggest issue is the return trip. We both have only enough time to ride it, but not the return ride. So We'll be shipping them back and flying. So I thought if everyone who is shipping bikes back to California, got together, we could get a better price.
Is there any advise you can give us, as to the return transportation of the bikes. I can't ride back to Ontario Comifornia, due to time constraints. I'm looking into shipping the bikes back at a cost of $1800.00, with two bikes included in that quote.

I have not used them but have heard from folks who have with good results. Check out uShip online. Just Google motorcycle transporters.
Good luck
I am going to give you some free advice. Plan to be at the Penagon parking lot that Sunday morning EARLY. We are usually there by 6:30 am at the latest. There are hundreds of thousands bikes packed in fender to fender with just enough room between rows to walk. The parade starts at 12 noon. If you are there early you will probably be out by 1pm and get a good parking place at the end for the concert at the memorial and enjoy the mall. If you show up at 9 or 10 am you will not pull out until 3 pm or later. I would much rather set there early while it is cool then be on the ashphalt in the afternoon.
