I think right now you're kind of stuck on the idea that you have to be able to see EVERYTHING in front of you; you're used to it, and it will take a while to get over it. I'm no giant, and I've ridden mostly all Glides of one sort or another, and I never even thought about what was on the other side of the fairing.

I finally rode a 2015 street glide special yesterday and all I can say is wow. HD really made a lot of improvements since my 2007 Road King. Now I need to talk myself out of trading the Road King.

How does the denim paints hold up? I really like grays and blacks and think the denim gray looks awesome

Everyone I talk to that has the denim paint says the paint is a pain to keep clean. Special cleaner, no wax....

i had a black denim road glide for 4 years. i thought it was a breeze to take care of. as far as special cleaners go, i suppose if you consider windex 'special'... takes about 10 minutes to clean your entire bike.

the only downside is if you get a scratch, you cannot buff it out. trying to buff it out will make it shiny. but the whole point of the denim paints is for it to develop 'character' over time.

This is the first time I have tried to buy a new bike at the dealer. They are offering slightly above average on the trade but not moving at all on sticker for the new streetglide. Is that normal or will dealers normally move off sticker price?

that depends on where you are. here in la, that is pretty much sop. there are some deals to be had, but usually on the bike that the dealer is trying to get rid of, not necessarily the bike you want. but, if you're willing to travel, you can find dealers that will actually 'deal'. then the question becomes, is it that much of a deal that it's worth the trip/time etc.

Just seems like they should deal some. I found online that invoice is about 18.5K and they are asking msrp.
