I have a '13 CVO Ultra.
Coming home from a trip earlier this week I noticed that my radio had stopped working. It was as if a fuse had blown.
Once I got home and unloaded the bike I pulled the fuse cover and checked the radio fuses and all was well.
The radio (power) seems to "come and go" and I have no idea when that may happen and this evening when I put it in the garage the radio would not work at all.
I wouldn't mind pulling the outer fairing if thought the problem would be easy to locate or repair but since I have an extended warranty I may just take it in to the dealer.
Has anyone had similar issues and if so, exactly what was the issue?
My radio quit intermittently on my 13 Ultra when the voltage regulator was bad, maybe as a protective feature in the radio to protect from improper voltage
I'm not sure if you have an amp but when when it's hot outside my radio works fine for maybe a half an hour and the amp overheats and shuts everything down. If you still have warranty I would get it checked out there first but that's what happens to mine. Once it cools off it works just fine.
