I put a USB charger, that plugs into the quick connect on batter, on my 16 RK about a month ago. It worked great for a while but now I am showing alert on phone that I am connected to a slow charge. I am using the Samsung cable that came with phone.
not sure why it would have worked for a while then all of a sudden started showing slow charge warning - did you recently get a software update on the phone? If not, the cable going bad, as suggested above, may be the culprit.
However, it is my understanding that the battery tender charger only puts out 1 amp. That's not enough juice for many of the more recent phones to charge at full rate. 2.4 amp chargers make them happier.
Also, found the thread I did a while back. Soldered a SAE connector to a USB port. Plug it in when I need it to the tender lead. Charges my phone fast. Its at least 2 amps.
The power port ("car charging port") puts out more amperage than the USB; I had the same problem and switched to a 3a car charger. Charges like a beast now.
But yeah, I echo the suggestion that you get a new cord. They do go bad for no reason at all, sometimes.
EDIT: oh wait... I thought this was about the storage port USB... Never mind me, then. My apologies.
