I've opted for FI since my 96 Electra Glide Classic and haven't had a problem with it on any of my bikes. That being said, I've never gone the higher performance route on any of my bikes either. I'd lean toward the 01 for the same reasons you stated. Offer $7k including shipping and see what they say.

Just noticed they also have this 2005 FLHRCI with about the same mileage as the 2001 priced right in between the others I posted.
