Just thought I would put this out there incase anyone else was looking to do the same thing. I just went to 13" Legend Revo-A in the rear from my factory 12" premium hand adjustable. I actullty didn't mind the stiff ride on the factory shocks (maybe I didn't know any better) but my wife hated the ride! she complained about bottoming out and just feeling like she could feel every little pepble on the road. So after doing a little research and some HDForum help, I decided to go with the 13" shock. I was very concerned about ride height since I am not very tall.
Here is a measurement from the top of the frame with the 12" factory shocks, it was 24.5" and as you know sags about 1/8" after you sit on it.
Here is the same measurement after the 13" Revo-A's are installed...about 25.25"
And now after the rider weight is on the bike...pretty close to 24.5"...just like the factory...only more travel now.
I did a quick ride today and they feel pretty good. I will updated again once I get a long ride in and adjust them more if needed. Just thought I would share this info to others who may be looking into going with a 13" shock and ride height is a concern...for these shocks it is not a issue, as with others I'm sure.
I also wanted to say Thank you to Streetrunner for all the help!

Great Post, I also have a RGS and have been thinking about similar mods for the same reasons and concerns. How expensive were the parts and how did you choose that set up?

Just the cost of the shocks of your choice, I started out looking at Progressive 944's, after way too much reading I was torn between Ohlins & JRI, then I just got a great deal on a pair of Revo-A's and decided to go that route since I couldn't find any bad reviews on them.

Good choice...I almost went with the #2 Adjustable's myself.

I have been interested to see the results of going to 13" on the SG and RGC. Whether aftermarket or Harley I thought this might be an improvement and not really make the bike too tall. Will be interested in impressions over time on ride and handling.
