Getting ready to put slip ons on my 2016 Road Glide and a stage 1 air cleaner what are most out there using for a tuner or do I need a tuner? Also I don't plan on doing any more motor work to it than just the slip ons in the air cleaner.
some bikes do not need tuning compensation- many if not most do.
on the low end for cost are nightrider.com xieds- if you plan on no further mods, these are easy- they plug inline with your o2 sensors and can be removed in minutes ( like if you need warranty work)
there are more complex devices in which the results ( good or bad) are dependent on the ability of the person(s) adjusting the settings- they also cost more

I have been very satisfied with the Thunder Max ECM. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.
As stated above, the FP3 is an awesome product and they are enhancing it all the time. You can leave it plugged into the bike (ECM) or take it out after you flash the tune. If you leave it in, you can monitor your sensors (temp, RPM, timing, etc) although some other tuners do that as well. For Stage 1 applications, I really don't think you can beat it.
You may want to rethink or at least research putting on a new air cleaner. It's money spent that may not really be necessary as the newer air cleaners flow much better than the older style. There's a lot on that subject here. Knowing what I know now, I may have left my stock AC on and just went with a K&N filter element. You will get induction noise when the air box/back plate is removed with the Stage 1 AC.

Well is what I'm oing to do . DNA slipons, decatted the head pipe and might just do a k&n filter instead of full stage 1 air kit. I looked on Vance & Hines demo maps and didn't see the DNA. Slip ons , so do they not have a map for them?
the maps will cross reference , since I use 4 inch slash rush my map was twin slash rounds hope this helps , I used their techs to help get the right map they were glad to help

Good call. V&H will give you a recommend base map to use and if necessary, you can auto tune that map to dial it in.
