I've got a 15RGS and ordered mine last year from Direct as well. Simple and easy to install. Definitely worth the $$$ spent and saved vs other tuners/Dyno.

This is second bike I have used one on. Great results so far. Don't think you'll be disappointed. They do seem to have a stumble or two when in autotune but that has seemed to be normal on both bikes I've had one on.

FP3 worked great for me. I've always been a big power commander guy so I naturally gravitated to the Power Vision. It seemed nice until you have to mount the little monitor to your bike. I ended up choosing the FP3 so I could use my phone as a screen and not have to mount a fugly monitor on my handlebars.

FP3 app has a demo mode so you can see how it works and what available maps are on it. Their tech support is pretty fast in getting back to you if you have any questions on what fuel map to use with your exhaust setup.

The auto tune option is a great feature but I found the canned map to run better than after my "tank of gas" auto tune session. Minimized a lot of the decel pop I had and changed the throttle sensitivity to my liking.

A recent app update allows you to input your custom cam configuration. Big win here.

Ummm... now what?
They make a California version of the tuner as well.

I'm ordering it tomorrow all, thanks for the feedback.

It works great. Anyone even thinking of getting one should do so NOW! The EPA will be going after the aftermarket tuners next. In a couple years you will not be able to buy a tuner at all. Maybe even sooner. No tuner=no pipes/mufflers

Have any friends or family outside of CA? Order it and have it sent there and then have them drop it in a priority box and mail it to you in CA

Here is a question, I had a '11 with a 96(That I can swear is way stronger red light to red light than my 103 HO) and I put a RCXelerator on it. I loved that tuner. I have a FP3 on this one and am just not happy. My fuel mileage just doesnt seem there, and the bad part is I cant get a response out of V&H.

I'm surprised at this, V&H has always been good with me at answering questions I've asked. I had a couple of Fuel Paks years ago and always had good support, I have also asked them a few questions while searching out what I wanted to do this time and they got back to me with the answers I needed.

As for the 103 not performing compared to the 96, only way to know for sure of course is a dyno but I'm a true seat of the pants kind of guy myself so I know where you're coming from.

The 103 came stock with more HP and tourque than the 96, but not a lot more. What year is your 103? The 14s and up went to an HO version (Upgraded Cams, SE 255s I think) If you have a 12 or 13 103 there wasn't a huge difference from what I understand.

I know for a fact the first 103's didnt hold a candle to the 96 red light to red light. Father and me had 96's every one else had 103's, and they could not hang. Now top end was a much different story. Mine is a '14 with the HO 103. Doug one of our buddies did cam his, didnt help.

Wow! Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it.

I did cams on my 09 SG, 96" motor and it would run right along with the 103s. Was able to pull on my buddy (14 SG 103 HO) up to and in 4th gear mostly due to the higher red line then 5th and 6th he would get me.

This bike I have now definitely needs some waking up, just looking for Stage 1 right now but it'll get cams once the warranty is out. If I do it right I'm hoping to see 100 hp but time and budget will tell that story.
