Well another email and hour wait on the phone has made up my mind. I am selling my exhaust system. The entire setup. From the heads back and the FP3. $900 gets the whole setup.
This depends on where you sent the email through. If it was through the application it will be much faster as it is ONLY FP3 questions. If it sent to was help or customer service at Vance & Hines, this can take more time for a response. All emails through the application go to me and I try to reply within 24 hours and try to also do so on the weekends if possible (even I need some time with family and ride my bikes!).
For best response send FP3 questions through the app.
Just an update, sent an email to V&H and had a response within a day on what base map to use.
Actually sent it through the App sent a separate one through the support link on the website.
Got a response from both. the one from the App came faster though.
I got 13 Road King with big sucker air, V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe and Fuelpak LCD. Getting Pop from pipe when shifting up. About 35 MPG and a bit of carbon on tail pipe.
Wondering if anyone made the switch from using the LCD version to FP3 with better results?
I had the LCD on my '09 Road King. I was also getting pop, but it was on decel. I switched to the FP3 and the popping is all gone. Also, the throttle is way more responsive. I'm very happy with the change. I called V&H for some help picking the best map to start and they picked up within 10 minutes.

I have called, sent email through site and app and nothing. Even managed to get someone on the phone who told me they would give him the message and have him call me. Still nothing. Talking with a few buddies who have the FP3 they have experienced similar issues. Even the local Harley is now pushing other products due to issues. Ofcourse, I was told yesterday that they are probably done selling or installing any aftermarket anymore as the EPA has warned them they would be fined 30k+ if they are caught doing it.

That's interesting, considering one of the reps is on the forum and posts often on the FP3 threads. I've called a couple times and had to wait, but never had an issue getting through to someone anytime I've called. Not sure where your info is coming from on the being done part, but your comment is the first I've seen or heard of that.

V&H rep on the forum, responded to your thread. PM him......
I used the app and got a response the next day. Chris is on it quickly and has always helped when I've had questions. I'd by another FP3 in a heartbeat if I needed to. Bike runs great and they're always enhancing it by adding new features.

Thanks BeSharp, My FP3 should be here today or tomorrow ... Going to load canned map for road king, 103, big sucker and chrome pro pipe. Hoping it should be plug and play and ride without going through fine tuning part. I got email through using app and tried email off there website ... got response from both areas but the app was lot faster. Timm

I was actually told not to do auto tuning unless I wasn't happy after the running through the first tank of gas. The V&H rep said that the bike would continue to "learn" and fine-tune on it's own for awhile. I definitely think that was true in my case. The bike was a bit hard to start on the first few attempts, but never again after that. Throttle response, smooth power, no popping, etc. I'm sold. Plus it's cool to play with the sensor data. Interesting that my rpms and speed don't match my mechanical display on my speedo. My speedo is a little slow compared to what the fp3 says it should be. Great product.
