I did cams on my 09 SG, 96" motor and it would run right along with the 103s. Was able to pull on my buddy (14 SG 103 HO) up to and in 4th gear mostly due to the higher red line then 5th and 6th he would get me.
This bike I have now definitely needs some waking up, just looking for Stage 1 right now but it'll get cams once the warranty is out. If I do it right I'm hoping to see 100 hp but time and budget will tell that story.
well supposedly the 96 has a shorter stroke which would make sense
I bought mine from Fuel Moto, at a great price (they have an August promotion going), and they included a mount for my phone at no charge. Customer service there is fantastic... Really woke my bike up.
Yes its worth the cost ,it helps I have done 3 auto tunes both just me and 2 up with the wife on as of now my performance has improved and no loss of fuel mileage and yes you can reload your stock map being able to watch sensor data is a plus as well
I got 13 Road King with big sucker air, V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe and Fuelpak LCD. Getting Pop from pipe when shifting up. About 35 MPG and a bit of carbon on tail pipe.
Wondering if anyone made the switch from using the LCD version to FP3 with better results?
I've been considering purchasing one of these, but, I just noticed a disclaimer on the Vance and Hines website that states, "NOT LEGAL FOR SALE OR USE IN CALIFORNIA ON ANY POLLUTION CONTROLLED MOTOR VEHICLES"
Ummm... now what?
Ship it to your uncle in Oregon and have him mail it to you.
I have found HogPro to have the best price on the FP3 for forum members. I just installed mine on my '16 FLTRU, stock headers and Rush slipons and was pleasantly surprised at the differences. My headers will be here this Friday and on Saturday, that should make a bigger difference.
Here is a question, I had a '11 with a 96(That I can swear is way stronger red light to red light than my 103 HO) and I put a RCXelerator on it. I loved that tuner. I have a FP3 on this one and am just not happy. My fuel mileage just doesnt seem there, and the bad part is I cant get a response out of V&H.
This depends on where you sent the email through. If it was through the application it will be much faster as it is ONLY FP3 questions. If it sent to was help or customer service at Vance & Hines, this can take more time for a response. All emails through the application go to me and I try to reply within 24 hours and try to also do so on the weekends if possible (even I need some time with family and ride my bikes!).
For best response send FP3 questions through the app.
