I don't see any sending/switch units leaking except MAYBE one that I can't find in SB, it's under the crank case timing sensor (not sure of name) kind of below shifter on left, front of crank case. It was a little oily but not real wet.
Any ideas.
Certainly sounds like the stator wires to me ... However that wouldn't explain your engine oil being low by 6-8 oz.

Yeah CSM, that's what I'm wondering. Would it be oil or primary down there and if it's primary, maybe it would quit if it got a little lower. I read that somewhere.

The first step to finding an oil leak is to clean all oil away with a solvent. Some use brake cleaner spray. Once clean it should be pretty easy to spot the source. Then ask how it can be fixed.

If its your stator wire passage, then that's your primary fluid and you wouldn't want that running low on oil. That would affect the operation of your clutch among other things.

Binged is right, first thing you should is thoroughly clean the entire undercarriage of your engine / primary and then dry everything really well to determine the exact location of your leak.

There is a sealant called The Right Stuff, I have used it on my 06 and a couple of work bikes. I just clean the area well with brake cleaner and use a small screw driver to pull the plug away from the case a little, then work the sealant in with a q-tip or another small screw driver. I works.

if it's the stator wires your engine oil level would not be down. sometimes when changeing the trans oil it will get on the frame and continue to run off for awhile. clean real well and take another look

Ran bike today and seepage around that grommet. So now it's a matter of how much did I lose or loosing. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see how bad. Then I go look at my wife's Street and hers is a mess under it also! WTH Right now I'm hoping it's something I can just keep wiped off or try sealing it some rainy day or bite the BULLETS not bullet. ugh
Thanks everyone, keeping an eye on the sealant posts.

The oil seepage around that grommet is extremely small. You can go thousands of miles until time to change it. I used Permatex Ultra Black to fix mine. After cleaning, I used a plastic syringe to inject it around the inside of the grommet hole. That was 30,000 miles ago. No leak.
