1st is what do you mean by wobble at higher speeds?
70mph or 85-90mph,or what?
But in general heres a few things that COLLECTIVELY TOGETHER can cause wobble issues on a 10 yr old bike like you have.
* worn & or out of adjustment front steering head bearings. ( Maybe not in your case because you just adjusted / tightened them.)
Scott
* 1/2 worn out tire/s can add to wobble issues.
* worn rear swing arm bushings.
* weak / worn rear shocks & front fork springs making for a mushy stock suspension.
* Is front faring & mount properly aligned / straight?
* is front wheel properly aligned / straight in front forks? (same goes for front to rear tire aln too)
* worm motor mounts if motor has rubber mounts.
sg-jay: no I have not checked rear wheel bearing but have a new tire and balanced, and yes new front new everything
kiethhu: have not checked front motor mount but will do that as well.
mkguitar: I think that might be my next step
wsscott: yes about 70mph the handlebars started to shake/wobble
*new head bearing with triple trees
*both rear and front are new balanced tires
*will look at rear swing arm bushing
*new air ride installed in front and rear along with shocks
*front fairing looks straight and aligned
*front wheel is spaced correctly to my knowledge
*will look at motor mounts as well
bagman: its not weighted balanced, it has those beads
