Just got to take a test ride on the new 2017 flhxs. not bad but no power house, the motor looks different 2 spark plugs on each head don't know if I like the new orange a little to much of a red tint for me. My son called me when it hit the floor
It is a flhxs. It ran harder than mine did stock did not get to take it for a long ride just around the block. I can not compare it to my ride I have ohlins shocks stage 3 on my 12 flhx but a step up from anything that they have at this point. ride was about the same as stock for me but I am a big person ( in others I an a fat man )
They mention somewhere that the engine is counter balanced? Can you report a little on the vibration as opposed to previous rubber mounted models? Thanks for the preliminary on this!
It seemed to have less vibration at idle than TC but with an idle set at 850 rmp and not at 1000 may have had some thing to do with going back there in two weeks to take a longer ride. My son let me take his turn yesterday all the service personal where getting a turn and he let me take his. Yes it is Laguna Orange looks like it is on the red side until you see it in the sun light, but not as Orange as what they had in 2012

How many miles on the test bike? I know when I bought my '09 it took at least 5,000 miles to open/loosen up. I was really disappointed when I first got the bike it just felt so tight to me but after that first 5k it was like a different ride.
It was just unpacked I did not buy the bike my son is the head tech and got me in to check it out looking for a new bike for the OL she has a 03 RK that I made in to a SG she wants cruise and six speed and because he works there we get everything there at 10% above cost. Right now any floor model will get the 110 up grade for free just don't know if we will get her one now or in a few years
