Yep, let's see how much power can be squeezed out of the M8 platform.
Later on someone can start a thread about their modified M8 getting busted by an over zealous EPA driven by Government out of control.
Carry on...
Well here is another great thread that has been totally hijacked!
If you want to discuss the EPA and its rulings please start a new thread!
Seriously, there are X number of great posts by FM in this thread, there is 2X posts by folks making salient comments about FM's posts. Then there is the huge number of useless posts that have nothing to do with the thread.
There must be 10X posts from folks who want everyone to know that have "subscribed", who cares that you subscribed? You do realize that you can follow the thread without saying "subscribed"?
There is huge a number of posts that belong in the thread, "Guess the HP" I mean really page after page 82.36 x 97.38 guesses.
I just looked over the last 4 pages of the thread and there is not 1 single comment about actually tuning the engine.
I opened this thread to read about tuning and increasing the power of the new engine. what I found is a thread that is only 10% about that subject....
This thread needs to be locked down and a new one that only FM can post to needs to be started....
Uh....no..... direct impact on the dealerships. They have the file a service report that goes on file. The epa can walk into any dealership at any time and demand service records and any part sales data they want. The drive train is inclusive of engine trans primary. They don't have to prove your mod caused the failure if the bike has had anything with the emission tampered with. The feds can lock the doors down on the dealerships if they catch them in violation and charge people with criminal charges.
I worked for a company that was and still is under a consent decree. They brought lawyers in to explain what we could and could not do.
OK according to the SE catalog, even changing to slip on mufflers requires a SE Street Tuner on the '17s. Used to be slip on's were fine, just don't change the air cleaner too for that. Well I went to SE Slip Ons and rode awhile today. I have NOT noticed any lean conditions with this change alone. No decel pop, no anything. SE Street Tuner is not very user friendly IMHO. I have not tried PV. I can say I've used the FP3 on 4 bikes now, have one on my Dyna with a 117 kit. I contacted V&H and they claim slip on's and an FP3 App are coming soon. Thanks to Fuel Moto for this thread it is VERY informative. One last thing, the E Series exhaust on my 117 Dyna is awesome.
There's 15 other EPA threads going already. It'd be nice if ya'll would quit crapping in this thread so we don't have to skim through a bunch of BS to find meaningful content related to the fuelmoto to tuning results.
