look at the chart and use the heavy dose of ride-on. maybe you have something else going on ?
===========================
Yup,any guys having balance issues post installing ride-on most likely didn't add proper amount or needed to use the optional/ larger 25% higher dose rate that ride-on states on the lower right hand portion of the dose chart.
I always us the optional larger 25% dose rate because it ensures the tire is always properly balanced as it wears thru out the tires entire srv'c life.
It also ensures any tire or wheel that has an abnormality & or spot/area thats heavier then normal for what every the reason is still properly balanced which isnt always the case when only using the std dose rate.
I have used the 25% larger dose rate in the last 3-4 sets of motorcycle tires i have installed with great results every time having perfect smooth balance & no cupping thru the tires entire srv'c life.
But have yet to see how well it seals if a tire picks up a screw & or nail.
First off ride on is not going to prevent a catastrophic loss of air in a tubed tire because when a tube that is inflated to over 35 psi gets a puncture it tears or rips the tube where the puncture is and the only thing the ride on is going to do is flow right out with the air it can not seal that rip in the tube nothing can. when it comes to a tubed mc tire the only thing ride on does is balance just ask the engineer at ride on about that. Sorry buts it not going to do anything for a tube puncture
All tubes do not rip. The cheaper Japanese tubes will "spiderleg"in different directions due to puncture resulting in a hell of a mess that you cannot patch. You can spread that tear easily by hand. If those tubes get punctured near a seam, they will rip. A quality tube, European or American (Key word "Quality") will NOT tear. They will leave a hole like what caused it. A jagged intrusion will leave a similar jagged hole. Obviously, this makes the Japanese tubes deflate so much faster in the event of a puncture - and that's not good!
I have worked with tubes for many years, and seen this over and over again. With bicycle tubes, the Japanese tubes are impossible to patch because of this. I don't use them for this reason. For bikes, I only use Continental (German) made tubes. On Harleys, the Dunlop Tubes are the quality tubes, NEVER an issue here. Very durable.
Do not scrimp on cheap tubes!
So, for tubes, the quality of the tube relates directly to the effectiveness of the sealant in this regard.
It's just pure freaking magic, or a trick with a hole in it... iam not sure, My good side says to use it, My bad side doesn't give a ****...My balanced side loves not having weights glued to the wheel.
I originally installed RideOn on my Goldwing 6 years ago, it was noticeably smoother and have since put it in 2 new sets of tires on the Wing. I also have a Street Glide and Night Train. Bought both used and as soon as I got them I took off the weights and installed RideOn. I have never had a puncture (knock on wood) The smoother ride and peace of mind work for me...
I'll just add ditto to what others say. As for it not working for tubed tires, I wouldn't know. Never got a nail in a tire, or if I did I didn't know it.
