Wow, looking at that rim you'd almost think you would have bruised your ribs on the bars. I miss the northern roads but not the pot holes. (I do do miss roads with curves in them though.) I am glad it didn't through you off the bike. I've hit a few in the past that I thought for sure were going to make me about the same height as Yosemite Sam afterwards but managed to not damage the rim amazingly enough. Have a safe rest of your trip.
To bad about hitting the pot hole. I have noticed Pa is repaving lots of roads since raising to gas tax. I put about 12000 miles on Pa roads a year mostly on back roads lot of the bumpy ones have been fixed sorry they didn't get to Rt11 yet, I would call the state about it maybe they will at least got out and fix it.
I use to live in Audubon and I can attest to those road conditions. I swear some looked like sink holes from what I remember. Glad you and the bike are good.
Glad you didn't go down, but the roads in mchigan are the same way. That's why I got the tire and wheel coverage. Paid for itself already in tire replacement.

Hey, fellow Westlander. Isn't it amazing that once you cross into Ohio on I75, that the road is smooth? Michigan has some of the worst roads around.
...........Called our roadside assistance through Dairyland Insurabce, which in the past had been very good, this time after two hours they still had not found a service. A local helped us with his trailer and took us to Tommel HD 20 miles away.........Can't say enough nice things about the local (thank goodness we stopped right in front of his shop) and good things about Rommel HD
I had an incident a couple of months ago where i got a flat tire on the way from home. it would have been ok if i had stopped and checked it when i started feeling something a little amiss. it was the rear tire also. it started feeling weird and i checked my handy dandy TPMS and it said all was good. i kept riding, it kept feeling funny. i needed gas and my normal fill up station was only a couple of miles down the road....i started smelling rubber and i got it pulled over at a fruit stand. i cornerstone, they had trouble finding a tow then finally, they got me one to tow about 25 miles to Rommel Annapolis for over $350 and Extended Warranty would only pay $100. I tried HOG and couldn't find a tow either. Luckily, a local stopped and asked if i needed some help. He too had a trailer and a brand new CVO that he didn't want to put in the box without some familiarization with towing. I said sure thing. He went home and got the trailer, we loaded it up and took it to Rommel and they had it fixed the next day. Turns out, this guy was a Road Captain at the All American HD HOG chapter in southern Maryland and lived about a 1/4 mile down the road from me. I pass his house every day on the way to work. Sometimes, things that start out so wrong can end up really well. I can't begin to say what a relief it was to get my bike to the shop or what one simple act of kindness can do for you. To top it off, he wouldn't take a penny for payment.......
Thanks Mark, I owe you. See you at the HOG meeting.
