Right, very true its my money... the difference between a 17 and 16 special was 1500. So i opted togo 17 bc to me that 1500 isnt a helluva deal to go with a 16. Now im inbetween a 17 road glide special, and a 17 road glide ultra. It is a 2300 dollar differance between the 2. My question is if 2300 is worth the twin cooled, and tour pack? I know theres other things like rear floor boards for pass, different seat, and bigger windscreen. As far as i can tell the suspension is the same. Any opinions from yall with either bike, wanting to add/remove the tour pack, or opinions on the lower fairings? Thanks for the advice.

Depends on if you're going to be wanting those things. I wanted a tour pack and I didn't want a detachable. I don't remember the exact figures but to add the "big" tour pack would have made the RGS as costly as the RGU. And then you still don't have the lowers and twin cooled engine and whatever else. For me it was a no brainer. If you're not big on the tour pack and lowers, well.....
