Fuel pump issue
My 2013 Ultra Classic just turned 10,000 miles. The last couple times out, I did not think I would make it back home. The bike ran very well from a cold start and while I rode. The problem started after I turned the bike off after a hour or 2 of riding and then started it again to continue riding. In 1st gear the bike would backfire and cut out at times and then just grab and go. It also did it in 2nd gear once I was able to get the bike moving, it kept sputtering and chugging. The bike is now at my local Harley dealer, who advised that I need a new fuel pump (which is now on order). Has anyone else needed a new fuel pump at 10,000 miles and why no issue riding until I turn the bike off and then restart it with the engine hot.
