i have a 2007 screaming eagle 110 FLH, the bike starts ok cold but when you shut it off and let it sit for about 4 or 5 minutes the bike will not start, what it will do is pop trough the intake and exhaust, when you let it sit for about 30 minutes then the bike starts ok. i replaced the CHT sensor and the crank position sensor and spark plugs. i did check for codes and it didn't have any. any suggestions thanks
Good f...... luck I been fighting this for about 2 weeks. I will be monitoring this . Found a mobile indy that comes well recommended and is HD certified .
I have an 07 did the same thing. dealer replaced something in the gas tank, I don't have that info at hand as to what parts. But it solved the problem. There was something else they said it could be and it was a leak or gasket at the throttle body or something like that. Sorry I can't be more positive about this but it was like 2 yrs. ago.
kroozeabout.
When it doesn't start try turning the fuel line where it is attached to the tank. If it starts then the fuel line (one piece from tank to intake) needs replaced. The material used in the L shaped fitting will wear allowing the fuel line to slowly back away from the one way valve, shutting off fuel flow. It will show 3 dimples in the groove where the 3 check ***** grasp it.

i started the bike and i started to spray brake keen on the intake and found when i sprayed at the rear intake gasket i could get the bike to dye out, telling me that there is a intake leak , i pulled the intake off , and you could see the rubber gasket were it was leaking, i haven't put it together yet, i will see if this vacuum leak solve my problem,

That's good advice, had this happen a couple weeks ago on a cross country trip. Took a LONG time in a generous stranger's driveway to find the problem. It would die INSTANTLY, so I rode it 10 miles holding the fuel line tight with my left hand to get it to my destination. That was one nerve-wracking ride!
